Best McleodGanj Road Trip and Triund Trek
Triund is one of the most popular tourist destinations. It is a popular and possibly the easiest Himachal Pradesh trek to reach from Delhi or Chandigarh.
Triund is a hilly valley in Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh. Triund is located at the foot of the Dhauladhar ranges and can be reached via two routes: one via Dharamkot and the other via Bhagsu fall.
Triund is considered one of the crowded trekking sports because it is always on the list of trekkers’ favourites, but at the top of Triund, one can experience true calmness.

Overview
> The trek begins in McLeodganj and continues all the way to Triund top.
Bhagsu Fall is the most popular hiking destination in this area. It is well-known for its cool waterfall.

The Guna Devi Temple fulfils the religious aspect of the location.
> Other places to visit include Naddi point, which is well-known for its views of the Dhauladhar ranges, the Tibetan museum, which visitors enjoy visiting with their families, the Indrahar pass trek, and the Kareri river trek.
How to Get to Base Camp
The trek at Triund begins at the base camp, which can be reached by bus or taxi from Mcleonganj. If you enjoy long walks, you can start the trek from McLeodganj.

Tips
1) You should bring a guide or someone with trekking experience with you.
2) There are a few guesthouses in the Gallu Devi Temple if you want to set up camp before the trek.

3) If you enjoy tea, this is the best option for you. There will be a few tea shops along the way.
Things to bring (Must):
- 30/60 L backpack
- External straps and loops, as well as easy access to compartments.
- Bottle of Water
- 5-2L reusable water bottle/hydration flask. Energy Bars
- Oats, nuts, seeds, and fruit are high in nutrients.
- Clothing for the Weather
- Winter clothing that is warm and waterproof, as well as wind and waterproof jackets
- Warm Coat
- Warmth is provided by a fleece/padded jacket.

Mcleodganj Triund Trek Itinerary

Day 1: McLeodganj- Triund:
The arrival in McLeodganj marks the start of the Triund trek.
Bhagsu Fall is the first stop. Triund Top takes about 6 hours to reach. Then Bhagu to Triund’s summit, which is the best part of the trek. At the top, you will pass through a forest, meadows, and hills before arriving at a beautiful sunset view. In the midst of a chilly night, enjoy a bonfire and a hot dinner.
Stay in a tent at the top of Triund Top for the night.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast while watching the sunrise.
