In other Chevrolet news, a new electric utility vehicle has been in development. The Chevrolet Silverado EV will be powered by a 200-kWh battery pack built by General Motors. The company claims that this battery technology will offer a 400-mile driving range. However, in the real world, the range will vary depending on how much you’re towing. The Silverado EV will also feature DC fast charging. Chevy claims that the battery can be charged in 10 minutes at a public DC charging station.
Chevy Produces Trucks
Despite the fact that Chevy produces trucks in many countries, most of its parts are manufactured in the United States. Most of its production facilities are located in Michigan, including Flint, Michigan. However, some parts are made overseas, including the electronics and interior pieces. So, even though Chevy is truly global, it still makes sense to check the source of all Chevy news.

If you’re looking for the latest Chevrolet news, you’ll have to keep up with the latest in the world of cars. Read up on the Equinox EV, the Silverado EV, and the Corvette C8.R race car. There’s something for everyone. And if you’re a race fan, check out the Corvette C8.R race car, which will debut in 2022.
Equinox EV
The new Chevrolet Equinox EV is based on the GM Ultium platform. There’s no word yet on the battery capacity. However, the Equinox EV will share a battery with the upcoming Chevrolet Blazer EV. It will also be a little longer and wider than its gas-powered cousin.
The Equinox EV is expected to have a range of between 250 and 300 miles, though this varies depending on the type of battery and model. The EV will be powered by two motors – one front and one rear – with a total of 210 horsepower and 242 pound-feet of torque. The eAWD version will be able to deliver up to 290 horsepower and 346 lb-ft of torque. The Chevy Equinox EV will have ample space for five people, and will have a sleek, high-tech dashboard that blends an analog instrument display with a large information screen.
Corvette C8.R race car
The Corvette C8.R race car will be based on the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, and it offers plenty of advantages. Its mid-engine layout contributes to the balance and connection to the road, and it has plenty of technological features. It’s not expected to win the Le Mans, but it will certainly be a contender in FIA WEC and IMSA GTLM competition.
The aerodynamic package on the Corvette C8.R includes a massive rear diffuser and spoiler. It also features a 5.5-liter naturally aspirated V-8 engine with 500 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. This is more power than any previous Corvette C8 model.
Silverado EV
The Chevrolet Silverado EV is a plug-in electric truck that looks just like a conventional pickup truck. Its side profile features straight lines, trapezoidal fender flares, and chunky rocker panels. A side profile view reveals a vehicle with extra-aerodynamic design, including a power outlet in the rear and a front trunk.
The new electric pickup truck was unveiled by General Motors CEO Mary Barra at the CES trade show earlier this month. The vehicle will cost around $40,000 and have a 400-mile range. It will also feature four-wheel steering, a coil-spring rear suspension, a front trunk, and a maximum towing capacity of 8,000 pounds. It will also be capable of charging your home in the event of a power blackout.
Final Words:
While there are no official specs yet, the Chevrolet Corvette C8.R news should be exciting to Corvette fans. The first Corvette in 1953 is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. While it’s been a few decades since that car’s introduction, many of the design cues have remained the same.
Corvette Racing has entered the C8.R in a number of endurance racing series starting in 2022. This includes the FIA World Endurance Championship and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The team also intends to field two cars in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.
