How to apply for the CA Inter Test Series?

CA Course Eligibility Criteria

CA Eligibility Criteria for CA Foundation Route
- The following are the eligibility requirements for the CA Foundation course.
- To be eligible for the Foundation exam, the candidate must have completed four months of study after registering with CA.
- First, the candidate must register with the Board of Studies, followed by four months of study.
CA Direct Entry Route Eligibility Criteria
The aspirant must achieve the following eligibility conditions for direct admission to the CA Intermediate course:
- Commerce this entry route is open to graduates/postgraduates with at least a 55 percent aggregate or comparable score.
- However, they must have studied Accounting, Auditing, Mercantile Laws, Corporate Laws, and Taxation (including Direct Tax Laws and Indirect Tax Laws).
- Costing, Economics, Management (including Financial Management), Business Administration, or Management Accounting are some of the areas of study.
- Graduates/postgraduates from non-commerce subjects must have received at least a 60% aggregate or equivalent grade in any recognized university examination (including Open University).
CA Course after class 12th through CPT Route
- Previously, the CPT (Common Proficiency Test) was the first level of Chartered Accountancy examinations in India. However, it has been superseded by CA Foundation under the ICAI’s updated plan.
- Anyone interested in enrolling in the CA program after completing their 12th grade must take the CPT Exam. The CPT exam is given twice a year, in June and December, and the deadline for submitting the CPT Exam Form is tentatively April/October.
- Individuals must first register for CPT before submitting the CPT Exam form. If an applicant took the class XII examinations but the results have not yet been revealed, they can choose the provisional registration option for CPT and will be needed to present the mark-sheets upon clearing the class 12th.
- You can even register after 10th grade and take the exam after 12th grade. The exam covers four subjects: law, economics, accounting, and quantitative analysis.
- Candidates who have passed both the CPT and the class 12th exams are eligible to participate in the IPCC (Integrated Professional Competence Course – the second level course of CA). Registration must be completed nine months prior to the examination month’s first day.
