Things to Do in Valley of Flowers
It is about 3352 to 3658 meters above sea level. It is located in Uttarakhand of the Himalayan region. This place is a famous National Park since 1982 and now is under the title of UNESCO World Heritage site from July 14th, 2005. This valley also holds a place in the mythology of Ramayana wherein Hanuman brought magical herbs for Laxman, brother of Rama. It is believed that Hanuman plucked the herbs from this valley. This is a most welcoming place to the residents and to the tourists who would like to explore the flora and fauna of the same. It takes almost a week to finish exploring this wonderland. This is a remotely located place and can take about 3 days to reach from Haridwar.
Visit the Valley of Flowers National Park:
It is a beautiful and unique endless field of mountains and flora on the Western side of the great Himalayas. The Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve which is located here is a creation that was brought together by both the valleys namely, the valley of flowers BanBanjara National park and the Nanda Devi national park. Visitors from all over the world come here to experience the green meadowlands, flowing rivers, and gorgeous foothills. This place is also home to a large number of the world’s endangered species of flora and fauna. During the month of June and August, it is suggested to visit the same.
Visit the Nanda Devi National Park:
This place is also under the World Heritage site for its immersive and acclaimed experience of the wilderness in the mountains. Nanda Devi Peak, which is the second-highest peak in the country, is also towered here. Landscape, societies, ecologies, climate conditions, and environment are also being offered by this valley. The best time to visit the same is from June to October.

‘Lake of snow’ is really an awesome lake near the Hemkund Sahib Shrine. This lake covers a circumference of almost 2 km. Thousands of people visit this pilgrim Hemkund Sahib shrine and the neighboring lake from all over the world. June to October is recommended to be the best time to visit the place.

This place is also known as ‘ Gurudwara Shri Hemkund Sahib’. This place is accessible via hiking through thick forests, many falls, and the charming glances of the mountain. This is about 4329 feet altitude. It is also known for a popular trekking destination which ends up at the beautiful snow-capped mountains and the Hemkund lake. This place is best visited from May to October and remains closed during the winter months.

Bheem Pul is 3 km from Badrinath, which is actually a natural stone bridge which is located in a village called Mana. This is a penultimate settlement on the Tibetan boundary. This bridge is built upon the great Saraswati River. The river runs in great strength and the neighboring places and the bridge acts as an amazing view for the visitors and also for the photographs.

The Saraswati River is a branch of Alaknanda River which flows from the state of Uttarakhand. Saraswati means Wisdom. They named this river after the Goddess of wisdom. Towards the Vasundhara falls, the Bheem Pul, the stone bridge naturally makes a passage for this river to flow through. Keshav Prayag which is near the village of Mana in the district of Chamoli, the Alaknanda River, and the Saraswati River get to interact.
Visit the Ghangaria
Located on the Northern Himalayas, which is about 3094 meters, a tiny village that is on the way to the Hemkund Sahib. This village is 3 km from the acclaimed National Park and approximately 6 km from the Valley of Flowers. This splendid tiny village is open to all visitors, tourists, and trekkers from the month of May to September.
Visit the Vasudhara Falls
This water body is about 400 feet elevated, and 9 km from the famous Badrinath. Mana village is also about 6 km away from this beautiful falls. This beautiful waterfall is open to all who visit the great Badrinath temple, which is open during the months of May to November.
